Convert Images to Any Format
Change the file type of one image or a batch of up to 50: JPG, PNG, WebP, ICO, BMP, GIF, TIFF or PDF. SVG logos become sharp PNGs and icons become multi-size ICO files.

No upload step
Your browser does the converting, so we never receive a copy.
Nine output formats
JPG, PNG, WebP, ICO, GIF, BMP, TIFF, PDF, and AVIF where supported.
Batch and ZIP
Convert up to 50 images at once and download them together.
The right format for every job
Each image format has a job. JPG suits photos that must open anywhere, PNG suits screenshots, logos and anything with transparency, and WebP is smaller for websites. ICO is what Windows and older browsers use for icons, BMP and TIFF are still expected by some print and office software, and PDF is the easiest way to send a picture as a document.
The converter reads JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF (first frame), BMP, AVIF, ICO and SVG. SVG files are drawn at the size you choose, from 256 to 4096 pixels, so they stay sharp. When the target format has no transparency, such as JPG or BMP, transparent areas are filled with the background colour you pick.
ICO files can hold several sizes from 16 to 256 pixels in one file, so the icon looks crisp everywhere. Phone photos that are stored sideways come out the right way up. To make files smaller rather than change their type, use the Image Compressor.
How to use it
- 1Add up to 50 images, or paste one with Ctrl+V.
- 2Choose the format to convert to.
- 3Adjust quality, background colour, maximum width or icon sizes if you need to.
- 4Download each file, or all of them together as a ZIP.
Common conversions and when to use them
- PNG to JPG: smaller photos for email or forms that refuse PNG. Pick a background colour for any transparent areas.
- JPG or PNG to WebP: lighter images for your website, with transparency kept.
- WebP to PNG or JPG: that picture you saved from a website and Word refuses to insert.
- SVG to PNG: use a vector logo in documents, slides or social posts.
- PNG to ICO: a favicon or Windows icon with all common sizes in one file.
- JPG to PDF: send a photo or scanned page as a document. For several images in one PDF, use Image to PDF.
Quality and size options
Quality (30–100%, default 90%) applies to JPG and WebP, which are lossy formats; at 90% most photos look the same as the original. PNG, BMP, TIFF and ICO are lossless. GIF is limited to 256 colours, so it suits simple graphics better than photos.
Maximum width shrinks large images while you convert, with presets from 4K (3840 px) down to 512 px. Height follows automatically so nothing is stretched.
Browser support and limits
- AVIF output only appears when your browser can save AVIF; most can display it but not create it.
- HEIC/HEIF and TIFF files can be opened only in Safari. Other browsers show a clear message instead.
- Animated GIFs are converted from their first frame; GIF output is a still image.
- Very large images use more memory, so on older phones convert big batches in smaller groups.
Privacy
Conversion happens in your browser tab, so your images are never uploaded. Converted files don't carry over hidden photo information such as camera details or GPS location, because the image is redrawn before it is saved.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. The tool runs entirely in your browser tab. Your images never leave your device, and closing the tab discards them.
Can I convert iPhone HEIC photos?
Only when this page is open in Safari on a Mac, iPhone or iPad, because other browsers can't read HEIC. In Chrome, Edge or Firefox you'll see a message instead. On an iPhone you can also set Camera → Formats → Most Compatible to save JPGs.
Why can't I choose AVIF?
Most browsers can show AVIF images but can't create them. The AVIF option appears only when your browser supports saving it.
Does converting reduce quality?
PNG, BMP, TIFF and ICO are lossless. JPG and WebP use the quality you set; 90% looks the same as the original for nearly all photos. GIF is limited to 256 colours, so it suits logos and simple graphics better than photos.
Are animated GIFs supported?
The converter uses the first frame of an animated GIF. Converting to GIF gives a static image.
Which sizes go into an ICO file?
You choose: 16, 32, 48, 64, 128 and 256 pixels are all ticked by default. Browsers use 16 and 32 for tabs, and Windows uses the larger sizes for shortcuts and folders.
How many images can I convert at once?
Up to 50 per batch. Grab them one at a time, or hit the ZIP button and get everything in a single download.
Is it free?
Free, with no account. We don't stamp anything on your images either.
