Upload a PDF, pick a language and click Translate. Pages appear here as they are translated.

Only text is sent

The PDF stays on your device; just its text goes to the AI, and it isn't stored.

36 languages

Including Urdu, Arabic, Hindi, Chinese, Spanish and French; source auto-detected.

Side by side

Check each translated page against the original as it appears.

Natural translations, page by page

The translator reads the text of each page in your browser, keeps its paragraphs, and sends it to our AI in sections. AI translation takes the surrounding sentences into account, so the result reads naturally rather than word by word, and names, numbers and dates are kept as they are.

Pages appear as soon as they're translated. Compare them side by side with the original or show the translation only, copy the result, or download it as a .txt or .md file. The PDF button opens your browser's print dialog, which uses your system fonts, so Urdu, Arabic, Chinese and other scripts print correctly.

The translation contains the text only: the original layout, images and tables are not rebuilt. Scanned PDFs have no text to translate, so run them through OCR PDF first.

How to use it

  1. 1Upload your PDF.
  2. 2Choose the language to translate into (the source is detected automatically).
  3. 3Click Translate PDF and watch the pages appear.
  4. 4Copy the translation or download it as text, Markdown or PDF.

When to translate a PDF

  • Reading letters, contracts or official notices written in another language.
  • Understanding research papers, manuals or product sheets from abroad.
  • Preparing a first draft translation to review with a native speaker.
  • Sharing a document with family or colleagues in their own language.
  • Checking the meaning of a document before paying for a professional translation.
  • Following instructions, warranty terms or safety notes that came only in another language.

How the output works

The text is translated in sections of about 6,000 characters, with page markers kept, so every page of the translation lines up with the original. Side by side view shows both versions next to each other; Translation only shows the translated pages for reading or copying.

Downloads are plain text (.txt) or Markdown (.md). The PDF button prints the translated pages through your browser, which handles right-to-left and non-Latin scripts with your system fonts.

Limits and quality

  • Up to 60,000 characters (about 20 pages of text) can be translated in one run; translate longer files a page range at a time.
  • Each translated section counts as one of your 40 daily AI document requests.
  • Layout, images and tables are not recreated; tables come through as text.
  • For legal, medical or official use, have the translation checked by a qualified translator.

Privacy

Your PDF stays on your device: the text is read in your browser and only that text is sent to our server and AI provider for translation. Nothing is stored, and we don't use it to train AI models. Only anonymous daily counters are kept to apply the limits. Don't translate documents you aren't allowed to share with an outside service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my PDF uploaded?

The PDF itself stays on your device: its text is read in your browser. Only that text is sent to our server and on to our AI provider to process your request. It isn't stored, and it isn't used to train AI models by us. Avoid using these AI tools for documents you aren't allowed to share with a third party.

Is it free? Are there limits?

Yes, it's free with no sign-up. Each visitor can make 40 AI document requests a day: every summary part, question or translated section counts as one. If the site's overall daily AI capacity is reached, the tools pause until the next day.

Does the translated PDF keep the original layout?

No. You get the translated text page by page, with its paragraphs. Images, tables and the page design are not recreated. If you need the layout, convert the PDF to Word first and translate the text in the document.

Which languages are supported?

36, including English, Urdu, Arabic, Hindi, Bengali, Punjabi, Persian, Turkish, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian and Swahili. The source language is detected automatically.

How long a PDF can I translate?

Up to 60,000 characters of text per run, which is about 20 pages. For longer documents, choose a page range and translate it in parts.

Can it translate scanned PDFs?

Not directly, because scanned pages are pictures without text. Make the file searchable with OCR PDF first, then translate the result.
