What's inside
Upload a PDF and its contents are listed here straight away.

Scanned in your tab
We read the PDF on your device; the file isn't uploaded.
Original images
Pictures are saved at their stored resolution, not screenshots.
Five kinds of data
Images, text, contacts and links, attachments and file info.
Everything inside a PDF, in one place
The extractor opens the PDF in your browser and lists what it contains. Images are saved at their stored resolution, not as screenshots of the page, and can be downloaded one by one or together in a ZIP.
The Text tab gives you all the text page by page, ready to copy or save as a .txt file. Data collects every link, email address and phone number found in the text and link areas, so you can copy them as a list or save them as CSV.
Attachments embedded in the PDF, such as an invoice's XML file or spreadsheets added to a report, can be saved separately, and the Info tab shows fonts, page sizes and document properties.
How to use it
- 1Upload your PDF.
- 2Wait a moment while it is scanned.
- 3Switch between Images, Text, Data, Attachments and Info.
- 4Download single items, a ZIP of all images, or copy the lists.
What each tab gives you
- Images: every stored picture with its size, as JPG when stored as JPEG and as lossless PNG otherwise.
- Text: all text in reading order, page by page, with copy and .txt download.
- Data: links, email addresses and phone numbers, de-duplicated, as a list or CSV.
- Attachments: files embedded in the PDF, saved with their original names.
- Info: pages, page sizes, PDF version, author, dates, fonts and whether forms or encryption are present.
If something seems to be missing
- Icons and lines under 16 pixels are hidden by default; switch on Include tiny images to see them.
- Logos and charts drawn as vector shapes aren't images; capture them with PDF to Image.
- For text that keeps its headings and tables, PDF to Markdown or PDF to Word does a better job than the plain Text tab.
Fine print
Text can only be extracted from PDFs that contain real text; scans need OCR PDF first. Images stored in CMYK colour are saved as PNG so their colours display correctly. The image grid shows up to 200 images at a time, and all of them are included in the ZIP.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. The tool runs entirely in your browser tab using JavaScript. Your files never leave your device, and closing the tab discards them.
Are images extracted in their original quality?
Yes. Images are taken from the PDF itself at their stored resolution, not rendered from the page. Photos stored as JPEG are saved as the original JPG file; other images are saved as lossless PNG.
Why are some images missing?
Very small images such as icons and lines are hidden by default; switch on "Include tiny images" to show them. Logos and charts drawn with vector shapes are not images, so use PDF to Image to capture them.
How are phone numbers detected?
The tool looks for international and local phone number patterns and ignores dates, amounts and plain reference numbers. Always check the list before using it.
Can I extract text from a scanned PDF?
Scans contain pictures of text, so there is nothing to extract directly. Make the file searchable with OCR PDF, then extract the text here.
What are PDF attachments?
PDFs can carry other files inside them, such as the XML data of an e-invoice or a spreadsheet behind a report. The Attachments tab lists them so you can save each one.
Can I get all the email addresses out of a PDF?
Open the Data tab. Every email address, link and phone number we found is listed once, and you can copy the list or download it as CSV for a spreadsheet.
